Dark flood of hell (after Gildas)

(Jay Whitten. 26-07-2004)

They make war Nothing
the subject of my complaint ocean
that springs from lucid respect shown throughout the land
lamentation for display
Whoever shall believe and be slain
our foreign wars having ceased

God's love is decked like a man's chosen bride
Utterly ignorant of the above-named persecution
not unlike that of their contempt of others
I would let no one return to see the gentiles boldness
the palpable darkness with us, Judea

who baptized away days and nights
who extorted, seized, saved
forsaken and overthrown earth

Respect the approaching wicked assaults
and rejoice daily
their wars are against their contempt of others
countrymen who baptized away days and nights
