I sincerely doubt it

(Jay Whitten. 16-10-2003)

Recognize such doom
despair today nowhere

fat person
he is now a national figure like a point
and I'm there I'm sure
recently a national face
so I don't want champagne corks flying at their very independent yet jubilant
channel in existence
That's exactly what I want
that people think that these people go skiing with Spandau Ballet or yet another
doesn't and you find that some of them go to parties or anything
but still it's situations one has inside
Are you anything to do with animals?
It's like potatoes to meat as it were
because
I don't think no time
I sincerely doubt it

history
it is a failed bassist

that fact
that girl
away to be on stage of something
really just your glasses
Because you reached the point where I realize that there's not any

There has to be
there will always be
the entire Ethiopian problem
it doesn't matter what they do
they consider people scientific meat

because one is welcome almost as a bonus

You know they meet you lost
any and somebody did something that is of value
that which is time totally pointless
And it seems to
so it doesn’t matter
I wish it did
but it doesn't

But the ultimate weapon
It's that and nobody can take from you
is the mere fact that
with jealousy and hatred
Everybody Everybody in wants somebody
actually meet them
Some 13-year-old
separates us
wasn't there before
only see women in a sexual way
because I don't really see how I think
And this is rock'n'roll music

but they proved to be microphones
to his huge grey frankfurters attached to tape recorders
We were alternately scratching exposed innumerable rolls of film
at permanently affixed shoulder
lurched about the room like Quasimodo
quite embarrassed
work ethic down your throat
his ear and mathematical same old journalistic questions and courtesy
are really trying

Have we hadn't made any records?

But in an absolutely tolerable life
having no choice I think
you had a minority of, you know, cripples, idea of things
apostles only by touring to do it yourself
they're getting the message
sounds frightened of growing old

When that's not a lie
or your records
I never have to be you
anything

rights groups aren't making court
But the English people can't play and to be quite honest
I think I'd resort

nothing worse
in all areas except unemployment
it's not a come on

How far is the dark
kind of stuff
western and rhythm
and blues music
which isn't really funny
but you don't tell Swedish people
but, hideously generally
somebody entered
and the conversation reverted ridiculous and infantile with the lyrics
I got some baskets
so we could come along and hear

…appeared to be huge grey frankfurters
but they proved to be microphones attached to tape recorders
photographers exposed perplexed reporters
being taped for A Lady in Posterity apparently bore no connections
That's very real
you can see that anywhere
For some fifteen minutes
innumerable grey denims waved what we were apparently saying
"Why do you sing?"
and I couldn't think of finger-pointing songs
I sing for the people an answer
except that I felt more or less sung, I believe
